Title

University of Pittsburgh Women's Studies Program requests a name change

Subject

On-campus Activism - Faculty

Description

In a memo for Dean Cooper, the Women's Studies Steering Committee voted to officially change the name to Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. This came as a result of surveying both students and faculty, as well as hosting several discussion panels on the name. This request was submitted as a way to demonstrate the inclusivity of the department and it's broad range of subjects.
