Title

Ellen Ganley Calls out FAS

Description

Ellen Ganley, a very active and outspoken student for the women's movement, called out the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) in a 1971 article published by the Pitt News. Ganley expresses the anger amongst many female students at the lack of a women studies program after the ACWO provided a proposal to the FAS. She claims they have the sole power to get the women studies program running and that it is necessary in order to get Pitt out of it's "academic rut".
