Title

"Gender research center being explored by women's studies"

Description

Interim director of the women's studies program, Carol McAllister, was looking to expand the program by establishing a research center dedicated to gender studies. McAllister thought this center would draw in faculty from all different areas within the university and bring Pitt's women's studies program up to date as other universities had already started research on similar topics. This nationwide trend and optimism from McAllister eventually leads to her surveying faculty to see the support the gender research center would receive, which she felt very optimistic about.
