With the passing of the Women's Studies program, which professor Marcia Landy proposed, came a series of Monday lectures in the Cathedral of Learning. For the first year, Landy offered lectures centered on subjects concerning women and oftentimes, women in the arts. Several guest speakers came as well like Betty Rothbart from the theater and writer Kathy Searle.
