Beginning of the Trial for Braden
Braden's case is under way but has been halted. Under the 1871 Klu Klux Act, it emphasises 'state law' and therfore, Pitt does not believe they fall under it since they are a relativley private institution. Slyvia Roberts, a lawyer for Ina Braden, argues that Pitt should in fact be under this as a result from recieving state funding even though it is not fully funded by the state.
Proceedings with the Braden trial have been under way. This is a class action law suit against Pitt focusing on sex discrimination. It focuses on things such as hiring, promotion, salaries, and grievances. James Arensberg, University of Pittsburgh solicitor responded on the University's jurisdiction in regards to the court and how Braden shouldn't be representing the entire group of people.
